Lemon Poundcake with Lemon Glaze

Here is my contribution to the Great American Bake Sale:

Cozy Country Poundcake

Ingredients:
1 1/2C. butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3C, sugar
6 eggs
3 C. flour
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla extract and then flour slowly.
Pour into a bundt pan sprayed well with cooking spray
Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
Let cake cool completely and serve.

***Do not try and rush and cook faster in hotter oven!!***

  5. Oh, my - this sounds wonderful!! Poundcake was on my list of thirteen favorite desserts today and I can imagine this would be a great flavor to try!
