Gratituesday: Contracts!!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight"

Proverbs 3:5-6

We have some wonderful things to be so grateful for, this Gratituesday!!! Way back when, I shared what Coach and I have been going through. It has been the hardest, most trying time in our marriage to date. Our faith was tested...tested to the max. But, to God be the Glory! We have a contract! He will be teaching High School Special Education in the next town over. He will also continue coaching his three sports: Football, Basketball, and Baseball, at our hometown High School. Like many coaches, his coaching career is dear to his heart. Along with his teaching, he has poured his heart and soul into those programs, and is grateful he still has those jobs. (As are the players and parents!)
We not only had one job offer, but multiple offers. As in, we were able to weigh all of the options, and choose the one that best suited our circumstances, the best one for us. Through this whole ordeal we have really learned who our true friends are. We learned who we could trust. Learned that our family is our rock, and trusting wholly in the Lord is not easy. It takes true faith. We knew God had a plan, and that He was working His plan for us. We did not always see it, and may never really understand why, but He was preparing us for the life He meant for us to have. As we come out on the other side, we look back and see things we never realized at the moment:
God will close a door, on purpose, because it is not His best for us. It's not where we're supposed to be. We have to be willing to press through difficulty to see His plan. We need to trust Him because He is directing our steps.

  1. Such great news! The other town must be fairly close if he can do both... that is awesome. :)

  3. He brought you to me through this journey! Your Coach is a long answer to my prayers. God is Good! He did not leave you or forsake you through this, he was preparing a better place for you. You are where you are to be, just fine tuned a bit now. I thank the Lord Most High for the both of you and your family!
Your a blessed couple! If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it! He did because you held steadfast to your faith!
